This training seminar is designed to provide participants with current evidence-based information, appropriate to the assessment, clinical decision making, and management of patients and athletes with an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
The course facilitates the acquisition, assimilation, and application of skills and information relevant to any practitioner working with sporting teams, and/or physically active, or other individuals.
Course format: Face to face lecture presentation and pre-readings, demonstration, practical, case-studies, discussion.
Learning outcomes: Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate understanding of the assessment (signs and symptoms, clinical findings, diagnostic tests) at the different stages of post operative ACLR rehabilitation. Moreover, participants will demonstrate skills and ability to assimilate and apply best practice evidence-based principles to address the major deficits (range of motion, strength, balance, proprioception, agility etc.) according to the stage of rehabilitation of the ACL reconstructed patient and the principles for a progressive criteria-based rehabilitation, and return to physical activity, training and/or return to competition.
