The course is designed to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in managing patients with shoulder pain and musculoskeletal issues. It builds upon existing knowledge in this area, focusing on the development of communication and clinical reasoning skills crucial for effective assessment. Emphasis is placed on hands-on skills for physical examination and treatment techniques, all aligned with evidence-based practice principles.
Course content:
· Anatomy and Biomechanics of the upper extremity
· Pathology, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and pathomechanics of the common shoulder disorders
· Assessment and differential diagnosis into the Shoulder Quadrant
· Manual Therapy Treatment techniques into the Shoulder Quadrant
· Exercise prescription in patients with Shoulder pain
· Case studies review, discussion and practical applications
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course the participants will be able to:
· Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in anatomy, biomechanics, pathology, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and pathomechanics of the Shoulder Complex.
· Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and skills in assessment (communication skills) and manual therapy practice of the Shoulder Complex.
· Demonstrate clinical reasoning skills in the assessment and management of patients with Shoulder pain.
· Demonstrate skills of justification the clinical decisions in assessment and management of patients with Shoulder pain.
